Dinshaw’s Xpress Cafe is a much glamorised and refurbished version of the age old Dinshaw's ice cream. In its youthful and zinged up avataar, Dinshaw's has transmogrified into a more meaningful and relevant identity which the yuppies can relate to.
As if to corroborate to this philosophy, you get to meet the Managing Partner here, a spunky dude who goes by the name of Akshay Kumar. All of 27, he, along with his partner Aditya, is the entrepreneurial brain behind this venture. Its been1.5 years now and two eateries to this chain (both located at utter premium locations, Seven Bungalows and Oshiwara) and "there has never been a moment of looking back"
Dinshaw's Xpress Cafe is an all out ice cream cafe. Translated, it means that you not only get ice creams here, you get all the other full fledged cafe offerings. It is on the lines of an American Cafe model, where you come in, there is no hurry to order, no hurry to delivery and you indulge in some board games like- Uno / Jenga / Truth & Dare / Taboo / Foosball & more...With a menu offering of more than 100 freshly prepared items such as- All Day Breakfast / Burgers / Salads / Steaks & Grills / Pizza's / Sandwiches to a Dessert Menu of Waffles / Crepes / Fondues / Sundaes / Thick Shakes / Smoothies & More...about 24 Ice Cream Flavors...
Again borrowing from international models, the sense of creativity of the patrons is also made appeal to. You have so... many options of mix -and-match to architect your own concoction, that it invokes the genius in you.
We called for Pan Tossed Sausages (INR 169) and Chicken in Paprika Sauce (INR 169) and Chicken Spaghetti Pasta (INR 249). The sausages were very attractively decorated on the platter and were sprinkled with black pepper and red chilly flakes, the Chicken in Paprika sauce was first shallow fried and then dipped in thick paprika sauce (Paprika, for the uninitiated, is a spice made from ground, dried fruits of the chili pepper family) and was quite garlicky, and the pasta was rich with chicken mincemeat.

Which leads us to a conclusion that this is definitely NOT a run of the mill kind of ice cream joint, in fact a lot of serious thought has been given to all the aspects of the business - the offerings, the innovations, the medley, the price points, the hygiene and the product presentation. A little bit of marketing blitzkrieg and they are set to go places.
They intend on carefully opening up a couple of more outlets within Mumbai and a few more in Pune / Delhi / Goa...
