Our Wedding anniversary celebrations. So after watching the fiesty Angelina Jolie as Maleficient in 3D, we drove to this place.
Valet parking? Check. We took the escalator to the eighth floor.
A sprawling area. Decent decor. Live counters. We liked the place.

Soon the barbeque was set in. And we waited in anticipation.
The soup was Chicken Barley Vegetable broth. A light soup, chicken diced pieces within and rich with chopped boiled veggies like carrots, broccoli, parseley. Just plain average, it barely passed the muster. Wouldve preferred something richer like a Manchow or a mixed seafood soup...
There was a basket of assorted bread served - Pesto focacia, Carom Bread sticks, Garlic Bread, Pepper Lavouche. It had two dips as accompaniments -kidney bean hummus and butter. There were other table dips such as tarter sauce, green chutney, schezwan dip, tomato mustard dip.
The salad - Melange of green with ceaser dressing and herb croutons, seemed equally appetising.
Next in line was chicken dumplings. Mincemeat inside, to be had with schezwan dip.
And then the skewers arrived. Five types - Harissa Chicken, Basil Pesto BBQ chicken, Chicken Ginger Sui Mai, Lemon Grass Grilled fish and Celery Grill Fish. The chicken cubes were tender and the fish pieces absolutely melted in the mouth. The only woe was that there should have been at least one lamb item, something like a mutton kebab...

We were also served a Welcome drink - a small glass of Peach Sunrise - a peach soda concoction. But it was a pretty small glass, and funnily, the only item in the spread which was limited to one per patron. (??? Dude, its just a soda drink isnt it???)
In the Vegetarian starters, besides the usual suspects of cottage cheese and mushroom and boiled potatoes, there was also an Olive Zucchini Pizza. Thin crust, richly made and perfect taste.
The little one chose to order custom made pasta for herself, and she grinned like Cheshire cat once she was through with it.

Formalities through, we got up to inspect the main course.
Murgh Jhalfrez, Grill Fish with smoked tomato, Thyme Grill Chicken with snow peas and Hyderabadi Salan Gosht Biryani. The veg menu was not given a glance at, except the very appealing Butter Burnt Garlic Spinach rice.
Needless to say, all was A One. If only there could've been at least one more sea food variety besides fish...

Cut to desserts.
Three types of mousse - Butterscotch mousse, Apple Cinnamon mousse, Red Velvet mousse.
Mascarpone Cheese cake with blueberry Coulis
Banana Fig and Walnut sliced cake
Chocolate Mudpie
Assorted ice creams (chocolate, strawberry, vanilla) with condiments like chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, butter scotch drops, diced cashew nuts, crushed almonds and a couple of syrups.
Jalebi with Rabri
Fresh cut fruits.
The mousse were a waste and the fresh fruits given a miss. The chocolate mud pie looked extremely appealing but failed in taste. It was way too dry and didnt melt in the mouth. There was also one Aam aur Badam ki kheer mentioned on the menu card but was woefully missing. The Banana walnut cake was swell and the cheese cake was droolworthy. The only desserts worth their name in sugar were the ice cream with condiments (although I am sick of having these done to death flavors at every do) and the jalebi with rabri. The rabri, infact, was sufficiently thick in constitution and loaded with cardamom and pistachio nuts, and the crispy crisp jalebis were very attractively place on plantain leaves.

Just when we thought that the day was done, two of the servers wheeled in a small attractive cake with a candle atop. And while the whole world stared at us, we beamed with delight and tried to blow the candle off. Tried I say, because it was an extremely self indulgent candle which obstinately refused to die down until I had actually snuffed it out with my two fingers and then ground the flame remnants on a flat surface. Meanwhile the cake had taken us by surprise and though we were completely full, we couldnt resist downing a small piece of the yummy coconut cream cake.
The verdict: A Thumbs Up. I couldn't have asked for a better celebration than this. Special kudos to the two outstanding lads, Parinaya and Debashish, who went out of their way to make our experience unforgettable.
